The Dead Sea, Jordan

The Dead Sea divides Israel and Jordan and has significant religious history. There are accommodations on both sides, but on the Jordan side, there are well established resorts. Some with Dead Sea access.

Travelers can apply the therapeutic Dead Sea mud while on the sea shore and cleanse the skin in the sodium rich waters.

The Dead Sea has one of the largest Salt contents of any body of water on Earth. With the salt content being so high, aquatic life cannot thrive in these waters.
